It is a 3 year degree. There are two intakes per year; start in semester 1 (apply by November) or 2 (apply by May). UQ offers three options for specialist undergraduate study, offered as optional Majors: Hospitality Management, Event Management, Tourism Management.

Focusing on business management, this bachelors program is designed to produce graduates that can work at supervisory and management trainee levels in hotels and resorts worldwide, and in related areas of leisure and hospitality.
Courses designed to develop financial and managerial expertise mean that just as you will study food and beverage, and human resource management, you’ll become versed in accounting and economics, business law and ethics. You’ll learn about hotel facilities management, and about entrepreneurship.

Food & Beverage Management and Control
You’ll study this course to introduce theories, concepts and skills required for effective control and management of food and beverage operations. You’ll learn the key factors of control together with operational aspects of a successful food and beverage outlet. Students will have the opportunity to gain knowledge of current and emerging food and beverage trends together with legal and operational issues.
